Amplified Currents is aimed at curating intimate performances and conversations with a particular focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, the creative process, and community engagement. This festival will emphasize non-traditional performance practices and the arts’ unifying power by featuring visual arts presentations, roundtable discussions, spoken word, music and dance performances, and conversations with living composers and scholars.
Taking place on October 16 - 18, 23 - 24, Amplified Currents will entail socially distanced in-person performances at Massawa NYC to comply with limits on social gatherings in New York City and will be live streamed online.
