Susana Aldanondo

Susana Aldanondo is an abstract expressionist artist based out of NYC. Susana was exposed to art from a young age, daughter to a NYC based artist and muralist, she learned to sketch, color theory, and paint preparation techniques from her father. Susana would find her own artistic voice years down the road, after exploring her interest in abstract expressionism and taking classes with masters William Scharf and Frank O’Cain, at the Art Students League of New York.

After receiving recognition and winning a competition juried by The Milken Family Foundation, the Director at The Newport Contemporary Art Museum and the Colby College Museum, she has been the subject of group exhibits internationally and her work is currently featured by Meural Art Collection on their featured artists permanent collection and on SeeMe’s channel after being selected by a jury that consisted of art world luminaries from Sotheby’s Institute, Meural, Twitter’s Art Program, The Yard, Standard Arts, and others along with major art critics like New York Magazine’s Jerry Saltz.
She was also featured by SAMSUNG after being chosen as a finalist by SAMSUNG at SCOPE Miami Beach, in a competition juried by members and curators of the Sotheby’s Art Institute, SCOPE and renowned NYC art gallery Richard Taittinger Gallery. Her work was recently selected to be displayed at the Susquehanna Art Museum for their “Creating Joy” art exhibit.

Susana’s Art is influenced by music: jazz and tango in particular, both related to her identity and background. Originally from Argentina, Susana moved to NYC with her family at age 14. Susana often incorporates rain into her creative process, and started doing so as a way of challenging herself to paint under any circumstances, as a way of linking and embracing resilience into her creative process. Susana’s work is inspired by the vibrant and diverse culture found in NYC, the place where she feels she belongs. Susana believes in helping others and commits a portion of her work and time to support organizations that work to improve the lives of those in need. She loves networking with other artists, while recognizing and celebrating their talent and achievements, as well as discovering new and unrecognized artists from remote corners of the world.

Hannah Wu

Hannah Wu was born in Fuzhou, raised in Pittsburgh, and based in New York City. She is currently a junior at The Cooper Union pursuing a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree.

At age seven, Wu was given a pad of old restaurant receipts and used the empty backs to sketch everything from her surroundings and imagination. Today she is still developing her artistic voice, but feels content with the search. Wu has maintained a multi-disciplinary practice since a young age, fueled by her desire to learn. She is experienced in translating conceptual ideas into visual works with a wide range of projects, media, and ideas. Wu's practice currently centers on research, graphic design, drawing, and soaking in as much information as possible through art.
